  1. I guess I wasn't aware that a tree was part of New Years celebration for Russians. Where do you get your trees? (Do you just walk out in the woods and find one, or do you buy one?) When I was growing up, my family owned land and we would get our tree from that land. However, most Americans buy their tree for Christmas from a tree farmer. Some families like to go to the tree farm and cut their own tree; some like to buy the tree after it has been cut.

  2. Decorating a New Tear tree is important for Russian people. Most people go to the market, choose and buy trees they like.By New Year holidays some businessmen bring fir-trees to the market for selling. They have special permission to cut definite trees in the forest, then they deliver the trees to the markets and sell.Cutting trees without administration permition is forbidden.Other people prefer buying artificial trees which are seld in different shops before holidays. There are people who have a fir-tree in their yard or garden, so they decorate them every year.Having a live tree in the house is wonderful and useful because of smell that people like. The smell freshes the air in the house and protect from cold and virus deseases.
